The Thirty One

This commemorative book is the story of the 31 young men from the Bankstown area who went off to fight on the other side of the world and never came home.

The book was commissioned and funded by Federal MP for Blaxland, Jason Clare, through the ANZAC Centenary Local Grants Program. The book was launched at the Bankstown Arts Centre in a ceremony attended by descendants of the 31, and by local members of the community keen to get a sneak preview of the book.

Authored by writer, Adam Courtenay, copies of the book were made available to those who attended the ANZAC commemorative event at Bankstown Memorial Oval.
